First Post; Yay!

I thought I’d just start things off by telling you a little bit about myself. I’m 28 years old, never married and no kids. Last year I stumbled across some old Christopher Pike books and set about trying to recapture my youth. I’ve been scouring yard sales, flea markets, thrift stores, used book stores and (of course) eBay to try and locate some of the books I read as a pre-teen. I’m planning on reading and reviewing at least one of these books every week until I run out.

*Christopher Pike
*Fear Street
*Point Thrillers


Basically they’re all the books I read when I was growing up, though to be honest I kept reading Pike and Fear Street after I was outside the target range. If you’re reading this, I hope you check back soon for my first review!

    hi this is more of a plea than a comment! I've been trying to find a book series that I read when I was younger,they came out about the same time nightmare Hall and the terror academy series came out.I don't know the author the titles for any of the main character names so it makes it kind of difficult. In each book there is a mini map, it's the exact same in every book. There's a military school (I want to say west point) and a regular one. There's also a building /bar where the bartender always helps out the main character(s). I believe one book was about a monster (maybe a snake)that hid or lived underground and there was raves going on during attacks. I also remember a chess set. I'm sorry! With so little information I know it's quite a challenge, any help would be appreciated. If you have any ideas, could you email me at theplasticprincess44@gmail? Thank you.

This was one of my favorite Christopher Pike books when I was younger. The whole ground glass in the hamburger thing really freaked me out and I was always eyeing the person who made my hamburgers suspiciously. Then I read some article in college about how ground glass actually can’t kill you because your body just digests it and pushes it out. It kind of made me a little pissed off at Pike… Josie and Helen are best friends, but in that high school way, where they actually don’t really like each other. Helen’s family is kind of poor, but that didn’t stop them from sending her to Greece the summer before. Now they’re going back, thanks to Josie’s dad. Monster (Christopher Pike)

I’ve read this book a few times lately and every time, go into it thinking that I don’t really like it, but then I remember that I do. Maybe because there aren’t any sci-fi elements or aliens in it! Well there are alien like things, but not like in his later books. Angela is a fairly new kid at school, who somehow gets invited to a party with all the popular kids. Her best friend Mary walks into the party, brandishing a shotgun. Without saying a word, she blows away football player Todd and cheerleader Kathy. Five seconds later, she points the gun at her own boyfriend Jim. Angela stops her by screaming and Mary retaliates by kicking her in the face. Jim, who’s basically a big pussy, runs off into the woods, with Mary hot on his tale. Angela follows and runs into Lieutenant Nguyen, who listens to what she says and then goes after Mary. Angela wanders into the woods and runs into Jim. Mary pops up and tells them that Jim “isn’t human” and nearly kills him, before Nguyen stops her. Nguyen

Contrary to Rumors, I am Still Alive

  Well, I didn't realize so much time passed between my last post and today. Things were pretty bad there for a while. I got through COVID and then my world just fell apart. I'm hoping I can start posting again at least semi-regularly. If anyone is still out there, expect to see a new post a month.
